Why attend?

  • Continuing the Legacy: The inaugural 2024 Joint Meeting brought together 445 delegates from 6 countries, 31 Tribal nations, and 38 U.S. states in what was the first national gathering on youth prevention, treatment, and recovery in over a decade. Building on the foundation of the Joint Meeting on Adolescent Treatment Effectiveness (JMATE), we are addressing youth substance use with renewed vigor and commitment. At the 2025 conference, we are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the legacy of the significant contributions that have shaped this field.
  • National and Tribal Collaboration: We are thrilled to continue partnering with key federal partners such as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Justice Services (BIA/OJS), who recognize the timeliness of our efforts to address youth substance use and health outcomes, especially among Native communities.
  • PWRRI Forum Integration: The 2025 conference will feature the fully integrated Pathways to Wellness Recidivism Reduction Initiative Forum, focusing on culturally responsive approaches to reducing recidivism in Native communities, with promising practice models that reflect deep cultural and clinical synergies.
  • Diverse and Impactful Sessions: The 2025 JMYPTR will facilitate meaningful exchanges among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Attendees can look forward to a well-rounded, research-driven approach to youth prevention, treatment, and recovery.
